Do you have sunflowers in your garden? I have a number of different varieties at the moment, but the Cockies keep flying down and eating the heads almost as fast as they appear!!
There is so much you could reflect on with sunflowers, but for me it’s their seeds … symbolic of new beginnings. It takes nourishment, the right timing and environmental conditions to grow. Some don’t take hold. That’s no big deal, that’s why there are many - don’t give up. Don’t ever give up in life. Painting the seeds was a reminder of having patience and hope to accept the “new me” after sustaining a traumatic brain injury.
