SIZE: 81cm (W) x 122cm (H) x 2 cm (D)
This is an oil painting on a custom-made wood panel mounted on a pine frame. It comes with D rings, felt pads on the corners to protect your wall and strong wire ready to hang. This painting comes with its unique story and a certificate of authenticity.
Yackandandah is a pretty little town nestled in the foothills of Stanley State Forest in Victoria’s north east, south of Wodonga. A beautiful place to enjoy a relaxed pace and absorb the feel of country life. This is a place I used to visit in my childhood days camping in the Kiewa Valley. The aboriginal meaning of Yackandandah is 'one boulder on top of another at the junction of two creeks'.
The wood panel was chosen for its woodgrain which has been incorporated into this landscape. These parts have been preserved in high gloss varnish. After you’ve spent time travelling through the beautiful countryside, it’s often lovely to reflect on how you felt at the time or the thoughts you had. It feels awesome to let your mind take you back to those places you have felt a lovely connection with. That’s the magic of nature!
I hope this painting captures that sense of “magic”, wonderment and memories when you look at it.
COMMISSION REQUESTS: If you would like something similar, but in a different size or colours or framing options, I would be happy to discuss with you.
