Mmm the smell of lavender makes your spirits lift and calms your soul. This painting was inspired by the copious amounts of lavender blooming in our garden. It’s lovely to hear the bees busily gathering pollen and smelling that distinct ascending perfume. It has so many healthy and healing benefits. For me, lavender is a winner with reducing stress and anxiety. In particularly I love to smell it as part of my sleep ritual. So in this painting the lavender symbolises the mind letting go further and further … until you’re …. Dreaming.
