I love how the mind wonders when you are just on the cusp of dozing off. Particularly during the day with the sun encouraging that deep relaxation state … and then it has won and your mind lets go further and further … until you’re …. dreaming … and you can drift around the most beautiful places … and wonder where this red road will lead you.
This was inspired by the Billy Buttons (Craspedia) in our garden. They are also known as “drumsticks” and are in the daisy family. They are a beautiful native Australian plant with a beautiful buttery yellow glow which I have tried to capture in this painting.
I hope this painting brings you a sense of calm, curiosity and relaxation.
