This is part of my garden series. BLUSHING BLOOM was inspired by the protea buds hiding in our garden. Their gorgeous colours resemble the lovely innocence of blushing cheeks … hence the name.
Those who follow my paintings will know that I have a strong connection with nature. I love finding new flowers blooming. Such a welcomed gift when you are weeding. These beauties really came to life after pruning back the wilting bulbs. Now its their turn to be in prime position. Love their colours against the earthy yellow ochre.
