This is an oil painting on a custom-made wood panel mounted on a black wooden frame. Felt pads have been attached to the back corners to protect your wall. D-rings and wire have also been attached, making it ready to hang on your wall. The wood grain has been incorporated in the painting. This painting comes with its unique story and a certificate of authenticity.
This is an Australian landscape with a mixture of impressionism and surrealism. This is a scene I see regularly on route from Melbourne to Geelong to visit family. Each time I whiz past this scene I can’t help but be transfixed to this site no matter what time of day or time of the year. My favourite time is when I see the canola flowers out. Maybe it’s their colour that brings me joy. I find myself using yellow quite a lot - it symbolises happiness, warmth and sunshine and apparently can boost your memory and encourages communication. I hope you get a sense of happiness when you look at this.
The name 'You Yang' comes from the Aboriginal words 'Wurdi Youang' or 'Ude Youang' meaning big mountain in the middle of a plain.
