My paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature in a whimsical kind of way. They are often symbolic, like this one. The path that winds from the foreground to the hills is providing guidance to the future. Sometimes we can get a bit obsessed about what lays before us and we would like more control over certain outcomes. Sometimes there are other solutions, but you don’t necessarily see them. Like this path, you can’t see clearly ahead until you get to the corner of the path – then you see another perspective. It’s often hard to wait, but there are times in our life when we just need to surrender control a bit.
