This is a textured oil painting on a custom-made wood panel. It sits in a gorgeous Tasmanian Oak floating frame. Madagascan hills was painted with a mixture of palette knives and brushes on a custom-made wood panel. It was inspired by my recent trip to Madagascar with the beautiful contrasting colours of the sky and landscape.
My paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature and are often quite symbolic in their creation. In this case the path meandering through the landscape to the distant mountains might symbolise personal choices and the continuous process of self-discovery and hope. It might prompt memories of your own personal adventures. Either way, I hope this painting brings you a sense of joy, hope and adventure when you look at it.
