My paintings are inspired by the beauty of nature. “Country Road” was inspired by my many trips to the Gippsland region. The lush green hills, the distant pastures of various crops and the dusty dirt winding roads. This road has been “constructed” by the natural grain of the wood panel which has been coated in high gloss. It feels so relaxing and care-free to be on the road again after so many lockdowns, the windows down, the wind blowing through your hair. The beauty of nature just takes your mind to stillness and wonder. I hope this painting captures that sense of freedom and lightens your soul when you look at it.
