I love it when flowers start popping up in your garden throughout the seasons, bees humming, birds chirping! I particularly love it when I see Billy Buttons (Craspedia) in our garden. They are also known as “drumsticks” and are in the daisy family. They are a beautiful native Australian plant with a beautiful buttery yellow glow which I have tried to capture in this painting. The colour yellow is often associated with fun, joy and energy … maybe that’s why I feel happy looking at them. I love to paint on wood panel. .
