I love to paint on wood panel. The natural grains help to inspire and direct the painting. This painting incorporates some of the natural woodgrain in the foreground trees. In this painting, the evening activity of nature is closing for the day. All in harmony, birds finalising their calls, the sun twinkling on the trees and grass… end of day rituals. This reminds me of the importance of some rituals we have in life, to be mindful and live in the moment.
